Our story

  • towneshine was founded by Adrian Napolitano in 2024 as a small-scale developer and advocacy blog.


BACKGROUND


  • A proud graduate of Oakland public schools, Adrian went on to graduate from UC Berkeley magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies. He wrote his undergraduate thesis on strategies to build affordable housing in traditionally exclusive neighborhoods in Los Angeles and the East Bay. 


Adrian believes in a world where people can afford to live in the communities they love. 


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE


  • Private Sector Real Estate Banking at Wells Fargo
  • Non-Profit Affordable Housing Development at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC)
  • Public Housing at his current role in the Oakland Housing Authority's Office of Real Estate Development. 


He strives to expand affordable housing opportunities by leveraging public land and internal and external partnerships.

I am interested in collaborating with people interested in real estate entrepreneurship innovation and small-scale development. Expertise in financial management, design, and/or innovative construction technologies preferred. A passion for equitable cities and walkable urbanism is a big plus.
